Creating my origin myth helped me understand why cultures used stories to explain the origins of people, places and traditions and natural events. The choice I made for trying to explain natural events in my myth was to say that A higher power punishes humans with disasters for every time that they dont follow the orders they are given. Writing the origin myth helped me understand why he native people wrote myths to try and undertood where humans came from or how the universe was created. It also helped me understand why their traditions revolved around having several gods because several people would have different perspectivs on what a god would be like.
Summary: Writing my origin myth helped me understand why the natives wrote origin myths to answer questions the felt they couldnt.
Reflection: I feel like I better understand natives and why they belived in origin myths.
